Focus on Sub-Saharan African Languages

Sub-Saharan Africa is home to a rich linguistic diversity, with over 2,000 languages, many of which are low-resource and underrepresented in NLP research. Our program prioritizes languages from Kenya (e.g., Swahili, Kikuyu, Luo), Nigeria (e.g., Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo), and South Africa (e.g., Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho), while welcoming contributions for other Sub-Saharan African languages to expand the scope of evaluations.
